How to Be the Change You Want

Being the Change in your life is not a magical, instantaneous event. Like Life itself, it is a journey and not a destination. Be the Change is a process that can be accomplished while you life your life, go to your job, raise your children, love your pets and take vacation. It is like playing an exciting game in the background while you do the things you merely do. It’s a colorful extension you can play with the “I” of you silently while your kids swing on swings, while you mow the lawn, while you make love, while you drive to work, while you go to church, while you read a book. And here’s how it’s accomplished:
First, you have to become familiar with inside you, with the workings of your mind. You have to recognize that this is where the game is played and you have to see that your body and your life experiences are the scorecard for the game you are playing. What you think about your body shows up on your body. What you think about life in general shows up in your life experiences.
Make a new friend with your own internal guidance coach and you can have conversations inside yourself while life blithely goes on before you. You can use the things that go on before you to seek wise counsel from your internal guidance coach to learn the lessons tucked into those things going on. The lessons will keep repeating until you get it.
Secondly, you have to learn how the game is played and how to score points. This would involve learning the laws that govern life that relate to how you are thinking. The main law is the Law of Cause and Effect. It’s being talked about under a different name these days – The Law of Attraction – but it’s basically still the Law of Cause and Effect.
Your mind thinking is the Cause. Your body and your life experiences are the Effect. When you think good thoughts, your body and life reflect it forth as good effects and you score positive points. When you think less-than-good thoughts, your body and life reflect it forth as less-than-good effects and you score negative points.
Thirdly, it would be wise to learn how to control what you think. This is an area where you get to be the Big Boss. You get to decide among all the millions of thoughts you might think, precisely which ones you choose to think. By exercising this choice, you get to Be the Change you wish to see in your life.
Does it sound too simple? Does it sound too airy fairy? Maybe does it sound too easy? It may be all three of these, and, being all three, it is definitely true. I have learned this in my life and I have learned to govern this invisible, powerful capability. It is my privilege and my joy to share what I’ve learned with you so that you can enjoy the health, the abundance, the success and the happiness that is truly your birthright.
The challenge is this: you now know three steps you can take to Be the Change. Are you willing to take those steps? I believe in you. I know you can take them. I wish you the ultimate in success.
