The first job you land might not be a career builder, but it would be a good idea to keep that job while you search for another one. Never burn your bridges with an employer, if you don't have to. Leaving your job with no job to replace it will cause financial difficulties unless you have enough savings to live on while you sort out your career options.

The biggest careers today are those that offer job security, good benefits, and a great paycheck. However, the biggest careers aren't always the ones that require a graduate degree. If you are working in a job that you aren't satisfied with, there are lots of career options out there. You just need to know where to look. Whether you work in the medical, law, educational, retail, landscaping, or fast food fields, take the time to search out the available jobs to evaluate your best plan of action.

Your best plan of action for change careers is to start looking up job search tips on the internet. It used to be taboo to go from job to job, but today in today's economy it is expected that you won't have a resume with only one job in the last 5 or 10 years. Keep track of the jobs that you have worked and document the reason you left, because your next interviewer will likely ask why you left. You might also document what you did at that job, and why they hired you. This will remind you of your strengths and what you have to offer a prospective employer. The interviewer will probably ask you why the company should hire you. Make sure you have a good answer for the person who interviews you. You never know if that could be the exact "career job" that you have been looking for.
