If you are a young woman you have thought about how you want to look on your wedding day. This is the one thing that your wedding planner can’t help you with. The problem that most brides-to-be run into is trying to fit into the wrong bridal dress for their body type. Not everyone will look great in every style. They look through bridal magazines and see the most gorgeous wedding gowns on those perfect size 00 bodies and think that they would look just as good in them then are disappointed when the reality hits them. This article will give you pointers about buying the perfect wedding dress, which is the first step in wedding planning. The trick is to find a dress that complements you specific body type. Every aspect of the wedding dress has to be considered when contemplating your wedding bridesmaid gown. The right bodice, cut, style and fabric can make all the difference. Full figured brides should pay careful attention to the cut. That mermaid dress may look good on a model but for a full figure an A-line dress works best. It adds height and draws attention away from the waistline. It is also important that full figured women stay away from the bodice and skirt types of wedding dresses. These cut up the line and will make them look chunky. Don’t be afraid to show off your figure and your curves. Deep V’s and low scoops on necklines can be very flattering. If you have a large bust an off the shoulder gown will be better for you. It draws attention away from the waist as well as emphasizing the shoulders and making the bust less pronounced. With a big bust you also want a slender bottom; a full skirt will make you look both top and bottom heavy. Pear shapes look great with the puffy sleeves, shoulder pads and other things that make the top balance out the bottom. These body types should shy away from formfitting gowns, Cinderella skirts and any bodice that makes the top of the body look smaller than the bottom. Petite brides can pull off the princess wedding dresses with style. A straight gown on a short woman is not very flattering unless you intend to have a full veil to offset it. The square shaped bride needs a gown that creates the illusion of curves. Something with a cinched waist on a beaded bodice works very well. This is made even nicer by adding a fuller skirt to simulate hips. It is best to stay away from clingy A-line type bridal gowns since there is no way to create the illusion.
