Table tennis is a type of indoor game usually played in clubs, colleges, organizations, company and schools. This game is very popular in Asia and Europe and continuously gaining attention in the United States. The game takes place on a hard table divided by net and players hit the ball using racket. Some continental competitions of table tennis are European Championship, Europe Top12, Asian Championship and the Asian Games.
Table tennis strokes are break down into offensive and defensive categories. The offensive strokes include speed drive (direct hit on the ball propelling it forward back to the opponent), loop (the racket is much more parallel to the direction of stroke and the racket grazes the ball resulting in large amount of topspin), counter drive (a player attack a ball that has not bounce beyond the edge of the table and the ball may still be attacked, that shot is known as the flip), smash (the condition when opponent player return a ball that bounces too high or too closed the net and player hit the ball). The defensive stroke includes push (it is usually used for keeping the point alive and create offensive stroke), chop (essentially a bigger, heavier push taken well back from the table), block (it is the condition executed by simply placing the racket in front of the ball right after the ball bounces), lob (the condition when propels the ball about fifteen feet in the air only to land on the opponent side of table with great amount of spin).
