Windows Live Mail is a mail client and newsgroup application available on Windows XP or as Outlook Express with Internet Explorer 6.0 download. The software integrates tightly with address book and Windows Messenger to provide users with instant messaging, graphic and customizable HTML supported emailing, and multiple accounts. This article talks about the pros and cons of Outlook Express over Outlook 2010, tech support to configure Outlook Express and troubleshoot Outlook errors, and methods to migrate data across other MS utilities. Microsoft Outlook Express is an email client which initially came bundled with Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and 6.0. The software was repackaged as Windows Mail in the Windows Vista OS and as Windows Live Mail along with Windows 7. The application uses the Windows address book to store contacts and integrates with Windows Messenger on XP. As an email client that comes as integrated application software with your Windows, Outlook Express helps you in organizing and managing calendars, contacts, events and other personal activities. With tech support for Outlook configuration, users can enable Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail to manage personal email accounts in addition to live chatting features. rnOutlook Express is a simple email program and allows only email and newsgroup functionality, as opposed to the advanced Internet standards based email and integration for cross platform clients available with MS Outlook on recent versions of Windows. As a simple email program for home users to send and receive emails, Outlook offers useful migration tools and full support for HTML settings that lets you customize your messages with backgrounds and graphics. However Outlook Express 6.0 included with Windows XP Service Pack 3 has some limitations. The application does not allow the level of integration with exchange servers that can be achieved with Outlook. It also lags behind in Internet connectivity and sharing for information and folders. rnApart from these drawbacks, Outlook has been known to crash repeatedly on Windows XP Home Edition and demands frequent troubleshooting. Express stores information in a background database (.dbx) file extension which might crash or become inaccessible due to bugs. Technical support for Outlook Express can then deploy third party recovery software to locate the cause of corruption and reinstall those components. If Outlook encounters a problem and needs to close, it may be because a background file has been corrupted. The reason for this could be a malicious code, power outage, abrupt system shutdown, or corruption of the MSO.dll file. This would require a file recovery along with a backup to prevent any further incidence of error. rnOutlook configuration support is responsible for delivering a number of services via remote desktop sharing. With Microsoft certified technicians for Outlook and Express, users can recover deleted emails, repair Outlook Registry entries, fix Outlook 6 runtime errors, and get data support to migrate from Windows Live Mail to Outlook 2010. These technicians will also administer a procedure to optimize Internet and browser, reregister DLL files or even reinstall Outlook Express without any loss of data. Most users face problems importing contacts from Outlook, while this can be easily resolved by converting PST contacts into VCF format for download in Outlook Express. You can also download and install Outlook 2010, uninstall previous versions, and make Outlook the default program for email, contacts, and calendar.
