Fearr
Fear is defined as an irrational aversion and an expected danger; it is the anticipation that something bad is going to happen to our life. For this reason you have to be prepared for that. Different types of fear are a mental process to predict the future. For example, feelings of abandonment by someone. For fear is not something that has happened to us, it is an illusion, not a fact. Fears are related to the behaviours of escape and avoidance connected to pain and usually occurs in response to a specific stimulus, sometimes are irrational, an illusion.
They come from different sources: negative childhood experiences, internalizing parent's fears, bad experiences and so on. We have many fears, like death, losing control, commitment, failure, rejection, losing our job, and so forth. Many of them are unreal for fears are only the pre-judgment of something that is not concerned with the present situation.
Why fear mattersr
Fears are negative emotions because it can paralyze and affect all areas of your life and most important, fears stop people from making decisions. They can shut the door of many people not to express as they really are. Due to this reason, they never let people experience the dangerous experiences and stop people experiencing life in its fullest.
If you are afraid of animals you won't be able to enjoy life with animals. Fears of all kinds stop us from living and enjoying a life full of interest. The most common way to disguise your fear is through addictions. Alcohol and drugs distort our consciousness and suppress our emotions. These emotions keep us in our comfort zone. Our comfort zone refers to the set of environment and behavior with which we are comfortable without creating a sense of risk. But many a time this comfort zone makes people fool. Highly successful persons always know how to step out of their comfort zone to accomplish what they wish and intend to do.
A comfort zone is a type of mental conditioning that causes a person to create and operate mental boundaries that are not real. Such boundaries create an unfounded sense of security. Like inertia, a person who has established a comfort zone in his or her particular life will tend to stay within that zone without stepping outside of it. It is highly vital to overcome our comfort zone that kills our successful management for life.
Ways to overcoming fears:
1. The first step to overcoming different types of fears is to identify them. What are you afraid of?
2. The second step for overcoming fears is to take responsibility and acknowledge what you are afraid of.
3. The third step for overcoming fears is to identify the negative source or situation. Does it come from a past experience? Did any of your parents suffer the same?
4. If you find difficult overcoming some types of fears, seek for professional help. Otherwise, set a plan for overcoming your fear. Let's say that you are afraid of public speaking and you have to give a talk in front of a crowd. You have many options: take a course in public speaking, write down what you want to say and practice in your home or in front of friends and family or you don't do anything about that. If you are not able to deal with your fear with this suggestion you have to go to Emotional Freedom Techniques or Self-hynopsis Techniques.
5. Be patient with yourself. Your first talk in front of people will not be expected as very good. But try again. Don't be afraid of failure. Taste the sense of difficulty and failure in life. The more familiar you become with the situation you are afraid of, the faster you will overcome it.
Conclusionr
Fears are healthy emotion because it protects us from a dangerous situation. It does not matter if the dangerous situation is real or imaginary. The important issue here is to take a dangerous situation. It puts us on alert and we can prepare to face the situation. Start overcoming your fears to experience the life you deserve to live.
