Depression is of 2 types. 1.From birth: This is a result of past karma and it could remain for lifetime. For this, we need to consult doctors and take professional help to get the best possible relief. 2.A phase of depression: For some reason, the ego has got hurt and the child undergoes suffering for some time. This can be cured by: •treating the child with lot of love and care, and •simultaneously inspiring him with the right understanding of things, •making him apply the keys of right knowledge and see the difference himself, •chanting God’s name and singing hymns daily for an hour or so, •As the ego recovers, the child comes out of depression.rnWhen our child is depressed, we generally become emotional and tend to worry, ‘What will happen now? what will happen then?’ These worries cloud our mind such that even simple things start seeming difficult. But always remember, a drowning person cannot help others. •So, first and foremost, collect yourself and resolve to work with a positive attitude. •Have ample of patience as you go about through the ways to cure the depressed child. •Do not waste time in any regret. Rather think about, what next solution can be worked out. •Maintain normality in everything you do. The thoughts that arise in normality are correct. •Do not get upset with what people say; never let these talks affect you or make you afraid. •Work out your way with steadiness without getting tensed or worried. •Do not over think on any subject. No sooner it results in worry, stop, for worries spoil work. •Whatever you do, do so with a positive mindset. Positive thinking brings together positives evidences that will help the child get cured. So, do not think negative at any point of time. •Ask for strength from God to remain resolved and composed in facing every situation. •Never close the doors of hope. Hope for the best, always! •Give your child the confidence that you are there for him, whenever he needs help. •Never get upset with him. Try to understand him. •Listen to him patiently. •Provide due care to him, which helps ease his suffering. •Pray for him. •Give ample time and love to him. Depression is a state where ego gets subdued. The biggest remedy for it is: 1.Attain Self-Realization. rnIn spiritual terms, ego is our belief that “I am John (the reader may insert his own name here).” Once we learn to dissolve this ego, then no one in this world can ever depress us. Through Akram Vignan, the stepless path to Self-Realization, Gnani, the Enlightened One, bestows upon us the knowledge of the Self, after which we realize that, “really I am not John but I am Pure Soul and my nature is only to see and know.” For now, you may take Gnan (Self-Realization), for your child may be young now. Once he is of age 18, you can take him to Gnani and make him take Gnan too. This takes only 2 hours, and there’s no cost attached to it.
