While being both worrisome and aggravating, your frequent or constant heartbu can also lead to some very dangerous health issues. So if you suffer from constant heartburn, how to cure your constant heartburn should be an important question you need to have answered. As you probably already know, when acid leaks out of your stomach and travels back up your esophagus, you get heartburn. Because your esophagus has no protective lining like your stomach, this acid literally burns your esophagus. And I don't know how the name originated, but heartburn has nothing to do with your heart. Unfortunately, if you do nothing to cure your heartburn, your stomach's acid will scar the inside of your esophagus and even engender esophageal cancer. Something I'm sure you don't want. Furthermore, frequent or constant heartburn can also cause bad breath, asthma, hoarseness, and a constant cough because your throat is always irritated by acid. This acid can also destroy your tooth enamel, leaving your teeth very susceptible to cavities. So then back to the question of, "how to cure constant heartburn"? As with any medical condition or problem, the first thing you need to do is talk to your doctor. Based upon your doctor's knowledge of heartburn, he might suggest you consult with a specialist. Your doctor or specialist might even recommend some tests be run such as an Upper GI or an Esophageal Manometry. Depending upon what your doctor finds based upon his examination and any tests he might have had you take, he's probably going to have you take either H2 blockers such as Tagamet® or Pepcid AC®, a Proton Pump Inhibitor such as Prilosec® or Protonix® or even something as simple as an antacid such as Rolaids® or Maalox®. Every one of these medications will treat your heartburn differently, and I'm sure a good doctor will explain to you the differences and risks involved with these medications. Or go to Heartburn Meds to learn more about these medications. Your doctor might even prescribe a drug to treat your heartburn. To cure rather than just treat your heartburn, there are numerous natural home treatments. You can also try changing your diet and sleeping with your head on several pillows to keep your head elevated. I want you to understand that the only real cure for your heartburn is a natural cure. ,b>Drugs and medications won't cure your heartburn! They will only treat your symptoms, have side effects, and will alter your normal body chemistry. To learn of natural frequent and constant heartburn cures, please visit Cure Constant Heartbu .
