There are a large number of my friends whose jobs is more or less relating with marketing. For all of them, it is very essential to know more about their consumer’s “personal code” to sell their commodities as much as possible. However, different people has different personalities showing different character, just as a saying goes, one’s meat is another’s poison, as the wise marketing professions, they ought to convinced that there are never did a unplanned schedule would work for their great “marking big and quick money” arrangement. As my personal opinion, one of overriding marketing skill is to divide your “target client” into different groups. To depend on the last academic research, here I would list the specific marketing method arming to specific client group. The gentle: Merit: They are the most favorite client of the entire salesman, for the reason that they are so thoughtful and polite that to understand how tough you’re working is, they would never reject you promotion directly or humiliate you by closing their door with a big “bang”. Most importantly, they are always tend to accept your words saying that your recommending are so professional that to broaden their narrow horizon. Drawback: No one is perfect in this world; even the gentle client also has their drawbacks. They always hesitate to make the final decision and easily confront with de dilemma of “to be or not to be”. It would be more worse that your hard-working was finally ruined by the third one’s negative suggestion; it would be better that you drive him/her to sign the contract if only he node their dignity head. The brag and pride type: To be honestly , I would like to list their merit after finishing their drawback, for the reason that the majority of salesman would like to class the brag and pride consumers into niggle consumers. Drawback: It is a pretty tough job to persuade a consumer with brag and pride to finally purchase their products. They are so silly that to humiliate you in front of the others to show how dignity and magnificent they are. Their social status and “special” personality are their eternal “capital” of showing themselves off. You would be toured by their narcissism. And sometime, you even think that it is not worse that to please a niggle person. Advantage: a guy who specifically sells their iphone cases and battery showed me a case that how he successfully drove brag and pride consumer to sign contract about a large number of electronics. “The main factor of this business is that to satisfy his vanity.” he said to me. The egoism That kind of egoism consumer would drive you far away from your real subject, the thing is, they would like to chat with anyone to spend their boring time, and lucky you a poor salesman have been targeted by them as their chatting partner. But your large working volume didn’t allow you to do that kind of things, the terrible result possibly turned into you selling nothing but did spend a lot of previous time.
