Brain is a sensory organ of our body that is used to control the movements of our body. If there is any problem in your brain, then it will cause problem to other parts of the body as well. Cancer is one of the most dangerous and aggressive disease that if caused in brain can be life threatening. There are two types of brain cancer, one that develops in the brain known as primary brain cancer and another that may occur in other body parts, but moves in the brain, which is known as metastatic brain cancer. According to the recent survey, it is estimated that there has been 15000 deaths due to brain cancer out of 25,000 in a year in the United States.
Brain Cancer Causes
The cause of brain cancer involves:
1.Excessive consumption of alcohol
2.Viral infection
3.Smoking Cigarette
4.Exposure to UL (Ultra Violet) rays and radiation
5.Exposure to harmful chemicals
Stages of Brain Cancer
It is also important that you should know the stages of brain cancer, which are as follows:
Stage 1: During the first stage, there is a slow growth of the cells. The treatment can be made possible, as a small surgery can remove the tumor of the brain
Stage 2: During the second stage, the tumor gets spread in the surrounding areas. This can also be treated by surgery, but the possibility of growth of cancerous cells becomes too fast.
Stage 3: In the third stage, you will notice that these cancerous cells are more visible. The treatment to be followed in this stage is chemotherapy in which a radiation will be passed through your body destroying the cancerous cells.
Stage 4: This is the last stage of brain cancer in which all the treatments are applied on the patient, but it is impossible to treat them because the cancer becomes aggressive and is spread at various parts of the brain.
Brain Cancer Symptoms
The brain cancer signs and symptoms are as follows:
1.Severe headache
2.Nausea and vomiting
3.Numbness in the arms and legs
4.Difficulty in sighting objects
5.Fatigue and weakness
There are some other symptoms, but not so common such as impotence in men, drooping of eyes, irregularity in menstruation, and decrease in concentration level.
The treatment of brain cancer involves radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery. It is important that you should be aware about this type of cancer and the treatment can only be possible if it is caught at the early stage.
