The ending part is one of the important & the significant aspects in a presentation other than the introduction. The audience remembers best the last thing they hear & the last point, you say. In finishing a presentation, it should be more than basically finishing it or telling the viewers that it is over. You must leave a take-home message or drive them back to the key points & wrap up the talk in full circle to the principal objectives. Because when the audience leaves the room after your presentation, they will keep in mind the last bit the best. For that reason, ending a presentation well is just as crucial as having the right opening. Below are four steps to end a presentation in a good way. Signal when you are close to the end Concluding the presentations by suddenly arriving at you are last PowerPoint sheet isn't the most effective performance. Tell your audience when you've only to do 1 or 2 more slides or just a minute more. You are also able to use this time to shake up the audience that didn't listen too well anymore. Keep a quiet of a short time to draw attention & tell them you are nearly there: "Now I'll finalize with the conclusions that will take 2 or 1 more sheets". Summarize & conclude As the audience will keep in mind the end of your presentation best, it is a fantastic chance to repeat & emphasize your primary message. Recap the main points & give a concise reminder of what you desired them to keep in mind from your presentation. The summary has to be only a few brief lines, enough to make the people retain the key messages. It can be beneficial to think about the very last sentences/phrases in advance. Some awesome, well spoken last terms can ignite an excellent applause. Ask for questions gracefully The most important part of the ending a presentation is the question and answer session. Although entertaining questions sometimes occur during the course of the presentation, most speakers prefer to allocate time for the session generally after the presentation has been ended. Experts are always ready to answer any kind of question asked. For most presentations, you will have to answer queries afterwards. Try to ask for queries in a more elegant way. Keep a lasting impression on your closing Always keep in mind that the finishing must leave an excellent lasting impression. A speaker/presenter should end the presentation on a powerful note & with a strong impression just as you kick off with a great start. This has to be well-rehearsed during the planning. However, above these four steps obviously help you to end a presentation in a good way. Just remember that, a strong starting gets the attention of the people & leads them to the main points of your subject and strong ending will emphasize them of these main points of the presentation.
