If you get a little nervous looking at the London Eye or avoid Oblivion at Alton Towers at all costs, extreme sports may not be your thing. But for some people, there's nothing like the rush of adrenaline one gets when doing something dangerous at high-speed or from great heights. If you're one of these types, here are a few things you might consider. Skydiving rnThis is a classic. As the saying goes, why would you want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane? The answer is man's desire to fly. Skydiving is a truly unforgettable experience. The rush when one first finds them self in the air building speed toward terminal velocity. This is one of the extreme activities anyone can enjoy over a weekend. You'll be strapped to an instructor, but the rush is just the same. PamplomarnThe running of bulls is an age old ritual that has varying degrees of danger. Part of the rush of this trip is the energy in the town before the run. The thrill of a bull chasing you down the street or getting trampled under hoof is just one of those things you can't duplicate any other way. There's also the potential danger of getting trampled by the other runners. Doing this makes you a part of history. Shark DivingrnDepending on how one does this, the risk can be brought down pretty low. For most people shark diving involves getting into a shark cage and being lowered into blood and chum invested waters. The actual risk is pretty low (although check out YouTube for a few 'shark in the cage' videos if you want to see what risk there is). South Africa is the prime spot for this – right in the middle of the great white feeding grounds. Bungee-JumpingrnThis is an oldie but a goodie. Bungee-jumping should be (in theory) pretty safe. This has the same appeal as skydiving – that unforgettable feeling of flight (okay, it's really falling) that cannot be duplicated. BASE JumpingrnEven for adrenaline-junkies this is considered a little crazy. BASE stands for Buildings-Antenna-Span-Earth. With BASE jumping you'll climb a structure or cliff and with a fist full of parachute, jump off and throw the silk. In the ideal case the parachute catches just moments before it wouldn't have done any good. The other rush comes from the fact that jumping from most structures is illegal as hell. So not only do you get a rush from the jump, but you might get to experience a few hours in the jail for your trouble. Mountain/Rock ClimbingrnThis requires some skill and training, but one of the ultimate adrenaline thrills is hanging on a crag trying to make the next move up a wall. Even being roped-in doesn't give one much of a feeling of security. Rock climbing can be a pretty cheap activity to get into. Find a wall and start climbing. Mountaineering can get expensive, but the just think of the adrenaline rush you'll get tackling the Hilary Step on the way to summiting Everest. So get out and start living.
