Gaining weight is as difficult as shedding off the excess pounds, so you better be patient when it comes to waiting to see the results. To make this easier, you can set a diet chart so that you are sure that you are getting more calories compared to what you burn.

Although gaining weight means increasing your food intake, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you eat all kinds of food laid in front of you. Gaining weight healthily means choosing your food wisely and by consuming more healthy foods, more frequently. You also need to make sure that there is always a gap of three hours in between meals, so that your body can digest what you’ve had properly. As much as possible, avoid a five hour interval between every meal.

It is a common misconception that gaining weight or increasing the fats around your belly means eating more without exercising. The truth is, performing training exercises that focus more on your resistance would help the body gain muscle mass and at the same time, make sure that your metabolism increases. If you usually go to the gym to get fit, it is only wise to ask your fitness trainer to teach you exercises that will help you gain weight.

As much as possible, consume foods that are high in protein, including fish, milk, dairy products that are low in fat, meat, sesame, sunflower seeds, and even almonds. Although junk foods and meals high in fat can make it easier for you to get fat around the belly, do keep in mind that these should be avoided at all cost since it is unhealthy and will not help you at all.
