The itching on the infected area is just one of the symptoms and it is normal if you have yeast infection. Some different factors can cause this itching but at the end the reason is the same. When you have yeast infection your pH levels changes in your genital area and that will cause itching. The following symptoms for this matter would be redness, soreness, irritation and pain during sex and urination. First of all you really need to consult to your doctor before you start any treatment. Because you might have a sexually transmitted disease. If the problem is cause by yeast infection, you can try out these simple tips to get rid of the itching.

  • Adding baking soda in to your bath will relieve the irritation which will also stop the itching. Or you can just mix baking soda and water to make a paste and apply it to the affected area.
  • Cold compress will also relieve the itching.
  • You can find over-the-counter topical creams that can help you get rid of the itchiness.
  • Avoid wearing tight clothes or tight underwear. Also wearing cotton underwear would be much more healthier.
  • Keep the infected area clean and dry all the time.
  • Always use %100 cotton pads and tampons. - If you want to give it a try to cream products you can use Lidocaine gel. It contains anesthetic properties and that will ease up the itching you have.
  • Avoid using hygiene products that are scented like soaps and sprays.
  • Using garlic as a treatment for your yeast infection can ease up your itching while it is treating your yeast infection at the same time.
