Now it is time to take the berries you left overnight in a different cup, and spread them all over the surface. Take care that the berries don’t touch each other since the density of the planting of the berries is a very important factor. Planted to densely, wheatgrass runs the risk of getting infested with molds, and we don’t want that. 3. Step – Take some of that quality soil and sprinkle it lightly over the freshly planted berries. Then use old newspapers or any other kind of paper available to you and cover the tray to make some shade for the berries, since they don’t need sunlight at this stage, it may even hinder their growth. Besides, birds love berries and they will munch them once they spot them so this little technique works well in these kinds of situations. 4. Step – After 24 hours, take of the paper for a while to sprinkle some water over the germinating berries. Moisten them lightly. You don’t want to soak them because high humidity leads to the onset of molds. This cycle should be repeated until you notice little green leaves sprouting from the soil.
