How To Grow Your Personal Training Business The question of how to grow a personal training business is a common one, but unfortunately it can bernconfusing because their are so many conflicting answers. I'm going to do my best to simplify it for you inrnfive easy steps. Here we go: 1. Become a Better Coach. The foundation of a successful personal training business is coaching.rnWithout a quality coach creating and implementing great programs, the business is built on sand. Ifrnyou're not where you want to be as a personal training business owner, look at the quality of coachingrnfirst. Clients need to be motivated, encouraged, held accountable and most of all they need to getrnresults. Make sure you have that in place before moving to step two. 2. Provide an Extraordinary Experience. Once your coaching is dialed in, you need to make sure thernentire experience is great. Make sure that you're giving people personal attention, that the atmospherernof your facility or camp is solid and that your clients feel like coming to see you is one of the best partsrnof their day. Businesses like Disney and Zappos use the experience as their strongest marketing tool andrnyou should too. 3. Choose A Couple Ways To Get People In The Door. There are easily a hundred different ways torngenerate new leads for your personal training business. Everything from direct mail to lead boxes. Theyrncan all get you new prospects. But you don’t need all of them. You just need a couple. We work withrnover 100 of the top fitness professionals in the world today and virtually all of them focus on 2-3 corernways to generate most of their leads. So pick a couple of strategies that you enjoy or that you’ve hadrnsome success with and build on them. If you enjoy networking, focus more on that. If you enjoy publicrnspeaking, do more speaking engagements. If you like copywriting, do more direct mail or ads. Better tornbe great at a couple things than ordinary at a lot. 4. Referrals. Without exception, all of our top students’ best lead source is referrals, and once yourrnbusiness is established yours should be too. Referrals happen because of 3 things. A. You earn thernreferral with extraordinary service. B. You ask for the referral. This can happen in a variety of ways. Yourncan ask in person, send letters or cards, run contests and any number of other things – but you havernto ask. C. Finally, you need to reward the referrer. If you want to generate more referrals, you have tornreward the act of referring. 5. Take Daily Action. This is the most important one. Every day you either get better or you get worse.rnThis comes from the action that you either do or do not take. Make sure you’re moving in the rightrndirection.
