We've all heard numerous warnings in the media about the dangers of skin cancer. In certain countries like Australia where the sun is particularly harmful it is one of the biggest cancer risks. Since we all have moles on our bodies, we are all potentially at risk and knowing when a mole becomes dangerous is very important in this day and age. Some people have more moles than other while some people have moles that are more pronounced than others. Its basically s skin pigmentation that becomes bigger and more visible as we grow older. One of the most important points to remember is to look out for moles that are changing. You and only you know your body and you know when things change. Here are 3 things to look out for. If you see any of them then you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. 1. Moles That Get Darker And Larger One of the first and most obvious signs is when you moles get darker or larger - or both. Although its quite normal for them to get bigger in time, its a sudden increase in size that you need look out for. Also when your moles become much darker in color then you may be in trouble. 2. Texture The texture of a healthy mole is more or less the same as the texture of your skin. If you start noticing hardness or scales forming on the mole then you need to get it checked out. 3. Shape And Border When you start noticing a red border forming around your mole or if you start noticing that the shape becomes square or irregular then you have to get it checked out.
