When spring is almost through, hibernation ends and the climate starts to shift warmer as the temperature increases. But nevertheless, summer is the most enjoying and fun filled season throughout the year. It’s the time where the attention moves outdoors and families get inclined to recreational activities such as camping, going to the beach and getting involved to sports. And more to that, people begin to visit home depots to look for pools that they can set up to get ready for the heat. It is also the time where most homeowners put up home improvements that are appropriate for the season; something that achieves a relaxing ambiance despite the heat. Here are some of the most popular enhancements that you can apply to your home. WINDOWS Windows are very essential part of the house. They become your eyes and let you see what’s beyond the four corners of your house. They also make you feel how it is going outdoors by simply looking through it. Design your windows in ways that keep you warm in the winter and cool during summer. Since sunlight is a powerful source of heat, you can start by installing blinds and drapes that reduce the glare coming from the outside. You can also use heavy and thick full-length window curtains to block the light. This can save you a great deal of money and energy by decreasing the use of electricity for air conditioners and electric fans. rnPLANTS Plants do not only bring real health benefits to people but they also provide a clean and cool air in the environment. As they purify the air, they eliminate pollutants including but not limited to tobacco-smoke and a variety of toxic air emissions. Plants feed on carbon dioxide and produce oxygen in return. So if you want to relax and keep a cool environment during summer, you may want to consider putting up house plants. You can also start planting flowers and bulbs in spring for a perfect bloom in summer that adds scenery to the beautiful garden at home. TABLETOP FOUNTAINS If you want a water feature for a lesser cost, a tabletop fountain is the best option for you. They are very affordable and are typically small so they can be placed just about anywhere. You can use it as a centerpiece in the living room or you can display it on an empty desk in the corner. You can select from a wide range of designs available in the market. Aside from being a beautiful ornament, tabletop fountains provide relaxation and comfort. The soothing sound of flowing water promotes positivity. Furthermore, it contributes to the humidity in the air as moving water evaporates. rnGAZEBOS Gazebos can be very useful in the summer as you spend most of your days outside. The place can be a great reading room or a nice shade to spend your breakfasts to. If you have a large gazebo, you can even use the place to socialize with friends. You can play board games or watch movies while enjoying the fresh air coming from the open sides of the shelter. Building one can cost a relative amount of money but the improvement it brings to your lifestyle is worth more than the money you have spent. POOLS As mentioned earlier in this article, people rush to home depots to look for above-ground pools when the summer approaches. This, compared to an in-ground pool does not require so much maintenance because you only use it whenever you FEEL using it. Children particularly find pools as their ultimate escape for the summer heat. So whether large or small, it can really be a fulfilling treat for the family.
