All women gain weight while they are pregnant. The fact is, women are prompted to gain weight once they find out they have become pregnant. This is on account of your body requiring that extra bit of "fat" to keep the baby safe, healthy and joyful as it grows. However, few women are overjoyed about the weight the baby leaves on their body once they are born. This is why a lot of women have a hard time losing weight after being pregnant. They assume they'll be able to go about their weight loss in the same manner they've always used in the past. The truth is that dropping pounds after you give birth requires a different approach than the usual weight loss. Here is some advice to help you remain calm while you try to lose your pregnancy weight. Unlike similar articles this one recommends an 1800 calorie diet. The extra calories are great for producing just a bit more energy. 'Exhausting' is probably the understatement of the year when used to describe becoming a new parent. Staying healthy on a low calorie diet is hard for a new mom especially if she's breast feeding and sharing half of her calorie intake with a baby. When you are breast feeding it is important to keep at least 1800 calories in your diet to avoid endangering your health or the health of your child. Do you know it's a proven fact that you can eat a high calorie diet and still lose weight? How much weight did you gain during pregnancy? This can be a tender subject for new mothers. It is a fact that your weight after pregnancy is directly impacted by your weight before pregnancy. You should have an easy time dropping weight after pregnancy as long as you stayed within the normal range of weight gain according to your doctor. Obese women tend to have a harder time losing the weight after pregnancy. You will have a very difficult time losing the weight you gained during pregnancy if you are in this category of women. You should first seek the opinion of your doctor especially if weight gain has been a problem for you in the past. Your body needs all the water you can handle to help keep you hydrated. Everyone should drink plenty of water. My favorite benefit of drinking plenty of water is that I feel fuller longer and never have to feel like I'm starving in between meals and snacks. You are also more able to handle the stress of decreased sleep and increased activity with lots of water on board, so drink up! Losing weight after pregnancy is harder for some people than it is for others. This kind of weight loss is not as simple as the usual kind, where you simply cut back on calories and work out as much as you can. You have additional considerations when you have a young child to take care of. You will lose the weight, so don't let it stress you out!
