So often we beat ourselves up over things we want to do differently. Whether it is a behaviours we want to let go of or a relationships we want to enhance, often times something stands in our way... usually, ourself.
I know that there have been times when I have wanted to make a change, but instead of doing something about it, I avoided it by getting busy with something else. I engrossed myself in another project, told myself I need to do this or that before I could make that change. However, there always came a time when that change I now NEEDED to make became like an elephant in the room that I simply could not avoid. It was time to take action.
The best way to positively change areas of your life is to BE PRESENT with what you want to change. What I mean by that is really feel what your life can be like when that change has been implemented. Next, set your INTENTION, fully with your heart and say it out loud to that person, place or thing (or the universe) and give your ATTENTION to this person, place or thing by taking actions that support the change you want to see.
When you can take on the change that you want to see in your life full on, with your whole heart, the actions to make that change flow more effortlessly. The resources you need to support you in that change come to you. The distractions that would typically take you away from your goals seem to disappear.
The sense of accomplishment in making progress, seeing positive changes in small or big increments is like a cheerleading squad urging you to move ahead, further. That sense of accomplishment fuels your fire to make more and bigger changes in your life and the world, gaining momentum with every step forward you take.
Give up expectations, but do set intentions. Let the universe do it's job of figuring out how to best help you, but don't tell it what to do. You can only imagine a limited number of possibilities while the universe can see the infinite options available and the universe can find a resolution that is even better than you can ever imagine.
Move forward. Act courageously and be the change to make a difference in the world. You will not regret it.
