To avail better facilities, advanced functions, graphical user interface, etc, many users do switching from Outlook Express to Outlook on daily basis. They comfortably do switching from Outlook Express DBX to PST but, later on after completion of switching, they face issues of accessing multiple PST files in Outlook. This problem of accessing multiple PST files in Outlook occurs for users after switching from Outlook Express to Outlook because in Outlook Express, separate DBX file gets created for each folder like inbox.dbx, outbox.dbx, sent items.dbx, etc when, these DBX files get converted to Outlook PST files, the users get separate PST files for each DBX files. For accessing the emails of each folder in their email account, they need to configure each PST file with their email account and if they just need to access the database of all PST files together then, they need to open each PST one by one by following these steps.
(Click on New button from top of your Outlook screen>> Bring down the cursor to click on Outlook data file option>> select the type of Outlook Data file, which he wants to open in Outlook >> Locate Outlook data file (.pst) from desired location and select to open in Outlook)
For each PST file, which they got after Outlook Express to MS Outlook migration, they need to follow the abovementioned steps to open it in Microsoft Outlook. The consumption of time in these processes becomes even more, if the users have created more folders in Outlook Express because for each customized folder also, the Outlook Express creates a separate DBX file. When users do switching from Outlook Express to Outlook, they convert each DBX file to PST file format. The more the PST files, the more the problems in accessing entire database together in Outlook.

If you have multiple PST files and you face problems in accessing them together in Outlook then, you can choose to merge them together. Once you will merge all PST files together, you will get one PST file and you can easily configure that PST file with your email account to carry out interruption free email communication with Outlook.
