Are you always rushing because you're waking up late? Can’t get a promotion because of your longstanding record of tardiness? Well, this is the time for you to change your ways and learn how to never be late again! This isn’t boot camp. The only drill sergeant you have is yourself; but if you really want to learn how to never be late again, then you’ll need to be strict with yourself double time! Step 1: Make It A Habit. The first thing you must do in order to improve your record is to make being prompt and punctual a habit. This doesn’t only translate to getting to work or school on time; this also means that you have to be prompt and punctual in every aspect of your life. Finishing your tasks, doing your chores and paying your rent - you must incorporate the habit into your everyday life. Step 2: Sleep Early. Most of the time, you end up going to work or school late because you weren’t able to wake up on time - a sign that you lack sleep. From this point on, go to bed early (unless you're on night shift). Even if it’s a Friday or Saturday night, resist the urge to party out with your friends. If you’re always exhausted, you’ll need even your weekends to catch up on your sleep. Step 3: Avoid Caffeine Before Bed. In relation to getting enough sleep, you might want to put a stop to your coffee breaks around dinner time. Caffeine might make it hard for you to get your much needed beauty sleep. Drink warm milk instead if you’re thirsty. Step 4: Motivate Yourself. If you want to know how to never be late again, give yourself something to look forward to in the morning. Whether it’s your cute co-worker or just the opportunity to surprise your boss, find something that will make you get out of bed excitedly. Another way to motivate yourself is to buy nice-smelling soaps and shampoos. The excitement of being able to use them might rouse you out of the bed too. Step 5: Resist The Snooze Button. If you want to know how to never be late again, then I suggest finding a more “stubborn” alarm clock than the one you have right now. In fact, there is one clock that even jumps out of your reach and keeps on sounding the alarm even when you push the snooze button. You can also opt to just place your alarm clock somewhere that isn’t within your immediate reach. Put it on a table where you’ll have to get out of bed to turn it off. Once you’re standing up, you’ll have to resign yourself to getting ready for the day. Learning how to never be late again is not something that happens ove ight. You have to constantly work on yourself. Keep it up though and you’ll find yourself naturally becoming prompt and punctual.
