How to Open Up Your Chakras: The Rainbow Road to Divine Perfection

In my personal journey to Self Realization, I discovered the Rainbow Road to Divine Perfection. It is the energy system called the chakras. The chakras are spinning vortexes of energy located just in front of the spine from the tailbone to the top of the head. They are a map of our inner world, conduits through which universal energy flows. Each chakra has a color which together create a rainbow. They are from bottom to top, red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, indigo blue and violet. In this article we will be familiarized with the seven chakras so we can recognize their influence in our lives. Once we are aware of this power, the next step is to balance and strengthen our chakras.

In order to facilitate this sacred journey, I paid a visit to a nearby fabric store where I purchased swatches of each of the rainbow colors in a silky fabric. It was important that the colors be clear and vibrant, never cloudy. Breathing in each color while repeating an appropriate affirmation for the corresponding chakra balances the entire system. We will begin with the first chakra and move up this Rainbow Road, with Divine Love as our destination. Enjoy the journey.

Red (Root Chakra) is the color of our life force which represents the earth energy. The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine in front of the tailbone and influences our sense of survival. While gazing at the pure red color, we breath it into our Root Chakra while repeating the affirmatio “I AM STRONG!”

Orange (Belly Chakra) is a hot color, full of vital energy, joy and passion. The Sacral or Belly Chakra is located in front of the lower abdomen in the pelvis area. Our sense of pleasure/sexuality is enhanced as we deeply breathe this life-giving color into our second Chakra while repeating the affirmatio “I AM JOYFUL!”

Sunshine Yellow (Solar Plexus Chakra) lifts our spirit and gives us hope and a sense of ease and lightness. The Personal Power or Solar Plexus Chakra is above the navel in the area of the diaphragm. Our sense of personal power increases as we breathe this cheerful color into our third Chakra while repeating “I AM POWERFUL!”

Green (Heart Chakra) brings balance, peace and tranquility into our lives. The Heart Chakra is at the center of the chest and is directly connected to your ability to give and receive love. Breathe this peaceful color into your Heart Chakra and feel your heart expand as we affirm “I AM LOVE!”

Sky Blue or Turquoise (Throat Chakra) is the color of creativity and self-expression. The Throat Chakra is located in front of the throat. As love continues to flow through us, we breathe the blue color into our Throat Chakra repeating “I AM TRUTH!” This enhances our ability to manifest our personal truth in the world.

Indigo Blue (Brow Chakra) is the color of universal healing. The Intuitive or Brow Chakra, also called The Third Eye, is at the center of the forehead. This is where we receive divine inspiration. We take a deep breath and breathe the indigo blue into our Brow Chakra while repeating the affirmatio “I AM FREE!”

Violet (Crown Chakra) is the color of cosmic awareness. The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the scull. This is the final destination on the Rainbow Road. As we deeply and deliberately breathe this violet cosmic awareness into our Crown Chakra, we proclaim “I AM DIVINE PERFECTION!”

We have reached the final destination of our journey along the Rainbow Road, Oneness with God. Our lives begin to flow effortlessly from our relationship with Source, from Whom all blessings flow. All of our needs are met. We are joyful, overflowing with love. We begin to express our true nature, bringing heaven to earth. Having made our ete
al connection, we truly are divine perfection.
