Thinking of giving an IELTS exam? Feeling a little worried about when to start and where to start from? Don’t worry and just stay with us till the end because today we are here with a complete IELTS guide to help you get through this process. For those who don’t know, preparation for an IELTS exam usually starts when a student realizes that he/she has to get a particular IELTS score to get the visa or apply in an international university. Now, a lot of students usually freak out when this time of the year comes and when they have to sit and write, speak, and read English. Honestly, if you are also feeling a little nervous then don’t and just relax because your IELTS preparation technically started several years ago when you first started learning English. Yes, you read that right! This preparation of your IELTS test is just a plan that will help you in polishing your English writing, reading, and speaking skills. Speaking of preparation, you are supposed to come up with a plan because without a plan, you can’t just continue with the test. Especially the students who start the preparation at the 11th hour, they are the ones who usually fail so if you don’t want to be one of them, then here are some tips that you have to follow.

Find Out Where You Stand

Before some examiner judges your English skills, you have to be your own teacher and your own judge. Months before the IELTS test, you first need to realize the position where you stand in terms of the English language. Once you know where you stand, it will be easier for you to figure out what you need to improve and how you need to improve it. You can take an online IELTS sample test and then figure out that place of yours. There are tons of other things you can do to know where you stand.

Practice

No matter how good your English is, you still need to practice, and again, you don’t start the practice right at the 11th hour, in fac, you start it on time, like a month or two before the test. You can use different online IELTS essay samples for this purpose. Check their structure, check the time limit provided and check what answers you need to give to pass the test and get a band 7. Improving your English should be your top priority, so work on that. Try fixing your grammar, your punctuation, and your spelling mistakes, of course. Believe it or not, you need to be perfect in all these departments if you really want to pass the test and get the visa you’ve been dying to get.

Keep Testing Yourself

The last and the most important tip is to keep testing yourself. Your IELTS test is basically a test through which the examiners check how you organize your ideas, how you jot them down on a piece of paper and how good you are in listening and reading English. It’s not only the language that you need to focus on, in fact, you need to work on your time management skills too because they matter. You have to finish your IELTS test within 60 minutes and believe it or not. It can become a real hassle if you don’t learn time management. There are two tasks given in each IELTS test. Task 1 comprises of 150 words and Task 2 of 250 words. You have to complete this word count in any case.

Conclusion

This is the whole plan that you have to follow for an IELTS essay. Make sure to follow all of it, and we assure you that the results will be favorable for you.
