WHAT IS CREATININE?
Creatinine is a waste product produced in body from a metabolism substance, creatine that helps to convert food into energy. - Males – 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dl (53 to 106 umol/L)

1. DIET
- Consume Vegetables like cucumbers or bitter gourds.
- Take low protein diet
- Limit intake of salt.
- Avoid high sodium food (processed foods), high potassium food (bananas, spinach, celery, and broccoli) and High-phosphorus foods (pumpkin, fish, squash, nuts, pork).
2. HOME REMEDIES
- Nettle Leaf Tea - Drink 1 to 2 cups a day. It is a simple kidney tonic that can improve kidney function and reduce serum creatinine levels.
- Green Tea - It has anti-oxidants, diuretic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties.
How to Use: Add the green tea leaves in boiling water, let it steep for 5-6 minutes. Strain it and drink this tea at least three times in a day. - Fenugreek - Fenugreek offers the overall good health of kidney. It helps to increase the antioxidants in kidney and reduces the oxidative stress also.
How to Use: Soak the fenugreek seeds ove ight, consume the seeds along with water in the morning on an empty stomach. Eat it again in the evening.
3. HERBAL REMEDIES
There are number of herbs identified which help to reduce the creatinine levels naturally without causing any side effects on body. These herbs like Varun (Crateva nurvala), Puna ava (Boerhavia diffusa), Gokshur (Tribulus terrestris), Kaasni (Chicorium intybus), Bhumi amla (Phyllanthus niruri), Shirish (Albezzia lebbok), Shigru (Moringa oleifera) and Apamarg (Achyranthes aspera)
- Puna ava (Boerhavia diffusa) - This herb is also called as "hogweed". It helps to remove excess waste from body. As the name of this herb suggest that "Puna" means again and "Nava" means new. So this herb helps to lowers the creatinine level.
- Varun (Crateva nurvala) - This herb is popularly known as caper. It helps to extrude all the waste from body by improving the filtration capacity of kidneys and reduce the creatinine level.
