“My stomach hurts so bad”, “I’ve got a bad headhache” “I feel so bloated” does anybody recognize themselves? The menstrual pain and premenstrual symptoms are mainly caused by an excessive hormone fluctuation during the menstrual cycle. There are several ways to fix this problem including stretching out the muscles, optimizing your nutrition, ensuring a good nutrient supply using herbs, vitamins and minerals. Most doctors will prescribe you the oral contraceptive and tell you that the symptoms will be reduced. In fact, it works in most cases since taking the pill helps you to stabilize your hormone levels, so without major hormonal fluctuations, the menstrual symptoms will be reduced. The problem is the fluctuation and not the hormone level by itself. I am not a big fan of conventional medicine especially when everything can be controlled naturally without disturbing the balance of your systems. I recommend you specific stretches named LOADS (Longitudinal Osteo-Articular Decoaptation Stretches) to help your internal organs working properly. A nerve coming out from between vertebrae at different levels innervates each organ. The LOADS are specific stretches of ligaments located between the vertebrae. For example, a slight compression of the nerve can cause a work slowdown of the ovaries. The LOADS can be adapted specifically to people with different symptoms. For example, if you experience stomach pain, I suggest you the LOADS between the fifth lumbar vertebrae and the sacrum and between the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae. In addition to considerably decrease your stomach pain, they will rest your lower back and relax you. It works wonderfully and it’s one of the best solutions to reduce these discomforts without medication. The physiological factors are too often underestimated and have a considerable impact on your health and your various symptoms. For example, if you have weak and unused abdominal muscles, it is likely that you will feel more abdominal pain and bloating. Abdominals are not only for the look! Each organ is attached to muscles via different ligaments and fascias (muscle envelopes) and these greatly affect organs optimal performance. In the second part of this article, I will talk about the biochemical factors and how nutrition can help you to reduce your premenstrual symptoms and your menstrual pain.
