It is crucial to remove negative energy as an essential part of our everyday lives in order to maintain our state of mind and to stay happy. However, negative energy is a negative aura that surrounds us, creating grief, depression and numerous setbacks for us if we don't act fast to ward it off from our bodies. For this reason, one will need a cleansing ritual to cleanse our body to remove the unwanted energies and replace them with positive ones.
Some items you may need but not really necessary are fresh flowers, incense blends, smudge sticks, crystals, precious stones and sea salt. Most importantly, you need to find a quiet spot that is free from disturbances while you perform the ritual.
Close your eyes and start to remove all the negative thoughts one by one slowly off your mind. For example, stress from work, quarrels, grief from death of loved ones etc. Imagine yourself taking a piece of eraser and start erasing every word off the paper. This should be the correct way. When you feel that your mind has been emptied, face the sea salt into a bowl and place it right in the center on the spot where you are sitting. Light up the incense or candles as well if you have them. As the smoke from the incense start to rise up slowly in the air, use your eyes to follow the direction of smoke that is rising into the air. It does not matter whether it's in any direction. Follow it with your eyes and recite an example of any positive statement you like: "I am removing negative energies from my body and bless it with divine happiness and light."
After the cleansing ritual has been completed, you should feel yourself brimming with positive energy and in a state of calmness and serenity. The negative energies are removed and gone for good. Now you can choose to place the fresh flowers around the meditation spot to retain the positive energies and surround them with crystals to keep the negative energies away and from re-entering your body. Now you may wish to sit and stay in the very same spot a bit longer to immerse yourself in this peaceful moment. This healing and meditation process helps us in our day to day functions and prevent many health related problems that are due to stress related problems from occurring, for example, heart diseases and stroke. The concept of meditation and ritual also helps us to understand our body experiences and going through a state of calmness and solitude. This sensation of absolute peace and serenity became the feelings that people sought after.
Removing unwanted energy has become part of peoples' lives. This is evidently true for city dwellers considering the tremendous amount of stress and problems they face everyday at work, home or anywhere. The presences of negative energy make us aware of the importance of positive energy and how to welcome them into our body, mind and soul.
