Do you really notice what is happening as it is happening? Do you focus your attention upon what is happening at the current moment or is your attention turned towards the past or the future?

Do you aspire to savor each moment as it passes and embrace all that life has to offer or do you miss much of what is going on because your attention is focused elsewhere? To be able to enjoy each moment you have to focus upon that moment, and yet few of us even try to do this.

Life can only be full and rich if you focus upon the details of what happens around you. So very many things are going on but often they just pass us by without us paying attention. We are too busy being distracted with things that we have prioritized to such a degree that they would appear to be more pressing.

It is important to take a step back every so often and to really notice the world in which you live. There are so many beautiful things to be thankful for. A friend just commented that she had been taking pictures of the birds this morning; she commented on how beautiful they are. When was the last time you paid sufficient attention to the birds around you to feel a desire to photograph them?

When was the last time you paid any real attention to the beauty of a sunrise or sunset? Or the play of sunlight upon a leaf? Or to really notice buds appearing on the trees, quickly followed by flowers in full bloom?

In life, we only tend to see that which we are looking for. But when you take away preconceived expectations and decide instead to look at what is really going on, life becomes a whole lot richer and more peaceful than before.

When you choose to pay attention to the moment, your own life seems to calm down and relax. You are not in that moment focusing upon striving towards a future goal or getting frustrated at things that did not turn out as planned. You are simply aware of the moment and therefore open to the beauty of it.

You will only become aware of the rich tapestry of your immediate world by choosing to pay attention to the moment. By choosing to be "in the now" you will also find yourself becoming more calm and peaceful. Life will seem brighter and better as you live in the moment instead of in the past or the future.

Most of us spend far too much time suffering from the misapprehension that we will miss out on something or other if we do not race through life at a very fast pace. Ironically, in doing this we do miss out on a great many things; things which are probably far more important than those other things which we are so very afraid of losing out upon.

Happiness can only ever be found in the moment. It will therefore only be found by focusing in the moment. If you feel that you need to take a step back and refocus your attention, hypnosis can be a great help.

Hypnosis is a state of relaxation at one with a state of heightened awareness. Just listening to a hypnosis recording will help you to relax and focus in the moment.
