The task of selecting the best iPhone Apps can be baffling as developers are continually inundating the market with apps, and the figure has now crossed over 500,000. For instance, even for a relatively simple task like measuring your blood alcohol content after a night of drinking, there are over a dozen apps available. There are presently more than 20 different categories, with Games alone offering an additional 20 subcategories. Each subcategory can be further fragmented into three lists and displays a max of 100 apps on the iPhone. The task of selecting the best iPhone Apps is turning out to be an overwhelming and laborious task. Besides, there are too many clones at temptingly low prices at the marketplace. Because of this confusing market scenario many genuine excellent apps are losing prominence. It is therefore a formidable task to compile a "best of" list striking a true balance between apps with mainstream appeal and those with real innovation. The parameters for selecting the best iPhone apps are obviously the simple elegance in what it does, the unique ability to access the net, the capability to manage your data, and of course, a design that's easy to navigate and visually appealing. When Apple announced the App Store on iTunes there was tremendous euphoria over the huge potential it would offer both to the developers of the apps as well as the end-users. As a result, when the store was officially declared open, the iPhone apps that were available ran amuck in quality, price, and topic. It is understandable that choosing reliable apps that are easy to use can be an overwhelming dilemma. It is therefore important to bear in mind a few key factors as you choose apps for your iPhone Features - A good quality app is expected to have a full feature-set - be it a game or a complex navigational GPS program. From customizable elements to sounds and volume, the features of the application are the indicators of a developer's commitment to the product. Interface - While features are no doubt essential to an app, an user-friendly interface is equally critical. Apple's hallmark style includes an intuitive user interface. Many excellent apps are negated because the interface of the program is too complex to use. The controls for an application should be simple to comprehend and easy to use. Regardless how imaginative the idea behind the app is - if you are going to struggle with the interface, chances are you will never use it use it. Graphics - Graphics are the undeniable favorite of the mobile app. A program increases its visual appeal and shows off the beautiful touch screen of the iPhone with the right graphics. Amateurish graphics will become irksome and will cause anyone to lose interest in the app. Stability - Although many factors are important and needed in a quality app, stability is indeed the key to the whole operation. If the program continually locks up your iPhone causing it to freeze or restart, it is simply unworthy. And if the app is a paid one, the lack of stability is further compounded. Program size - Last, but not least in importance is the program size. Since you cannot obviously add additional memory to your iPhone, it's important to manage the amount of memory. Generally, most of the apps are relatively small but there are also some that will devour up your storage space quickly. Be continually aware of the memory limitations while choosing your iPhone apps.
