Make Feng Shui Work in Your Office Building
You might not be able to do a lot when it comes to changing your office building, that much is true. But if you take some time to look at the Feng Shui influence your building might have, you might be able to improve on the success of your business.
The location of your building, it’s shape and the entrance can have a big impact on the success that your business will have. Selecting the wrong building because it costs less can cost you’re your business. Finding the right building with the correct Feng Shui elements can improve your bottom line. Here are a few of the things that are Feng Shui no-nos when it comes an office building.
Where is Your Building?
The location of your business is the most important element when it comes to selecting an office building. Once you find a building that meets your business needs you then should to take a look at the Feng Shui energetics of the building. In real estate the saying goes “Location, Location, Location”. The same is true in Feng Shui First of all, your office building should never be blocked or over shadowed by other buildings. This is why you see so many tall buildings around the world. The higher the building, the more energy it can receive from the world. When a building is blocked by higher buildings, it’s cut off from the energy – and it’s not consider to be in a Feng Shui friendly or auspicious location. Try to work in a building that is surrounded by smaller buildings as this will help the energy flow freely.
The Shape of Your Building
Wholeness is the key word when it comes to the shape of a building. In Feng Shui wholeness is considered either square or rectangular. A “t” shaped building will be missing the energy of wholeness. When the energy of a building is not whole it is like driving down the road with a flat time. You can get where you want to go but you struggle to get there.
Some also say that the shape of the office building is important. If your office building looks like a sharp object, for example, that might not be an auspicious shape. You want to also avoid being in places that are surrounded by images of death – i.e. cemeteries. Look at your building to make sure it looks as positive in shape as possible.
The Right Entrance
Finally, you want to work in an office building that does not have a narrow entryway. When you have a narrow entryway, this will keep energy from coming into your space – not good for Feng Shui. Instead, make sure you have a large and open entryway which will allow as much energy as possible into the office.
These tips may not help you as the basic entry level office worker, but when you’ve finally made it to the upper levels of management, it will help for you to know what sort of building shape and placement to select in order to be a success.
