It is kind of ironic that when we try to get to sleep, we do not feel sleepy enough to just easily doze off. And on the other hand, in times when we have to keep ourselves really awake like during class lectures, we tend to feel so sleepy as if we haven’t slept for ages! Either situation is definitely an annoying place to be in, but the former seems to be the one causing a more serious problem. Well, I might just have the perfect way to share on how to sleep faster simple meditation! It is a very convenient approach on how to sleep faster- no equipment or any other special techniques needed. You don’t even need to have previous experience on doing this. How to sleep faster – Step 1: Find a comfortable position for yourself. It will be better if you can maintain a good posture in your chosen position as well as keep your feet flat on the floor. Have your palms simply rested on your thighs and your shoulders relaxed. It is up to you whether you want to keep your eyes closed or open, what’s important is that you let yourself relax and free your mind of any worry. How to sleep faster – Step 2: It is all about the breathing. An effective breathing is a key to this exercise. Do not do shallow and rapid breathing, instead, do slow and deep ones as you fill your lungs with air. Contain the air in your system for a while then release it as slowly as how you inhaled. You should start feeling that degree of relaxation all over your body with every single breath. How to sleep faster – Step 3: You can use your creativity and your talent in imagination in this step. The goal of this is for you to visualize yourself in a certain place that you find is ideal for relaxation. It doesn’t have to be a place that you have already been to; as long as it could help you detach yourself from the current environment and feel as if you are in a whole new place. How to sleep faster – Step 4: After doing steps 1 and 3 devotedly, you can now start to reorient yourself to the actual environment. A best-concluding gesture is to make some nice stretches, or maybe give your head another one smooth rotate. This whole exercise on how to sleep faster will allow your body to condition itself for sleep. Along each step, you will be able to get rid of all the negative vibes and the stress that prevent you from heading to dreamland peacefully. Doing all these steps of how to sleep faster before you go to bed will surely help you get to where you want to be each night- the world of slumber. It is important to pay attention to your health.
