How To Speed Up A Slow Macbook Pro

If your MacBook Pro is not using the day off as fast as it used to zipping, you can do something about it. Take a good look at the applications and processes slow down. OS X has the tools you can use to identify resource-intensive apps. The memory expansion is a big help too. Accelerate beginning Times

• Look at the apps and utilities that are started as login items when on your MacBook Pro.The list found by clicking "Users & Groups pane of System Preferences and click" Login ".Each app takes memory and processing resources, so remove any items you do not use every day. Click any icon right on your desktop dock that you do not use often and remove them. While you're at it, clean up your desktop. You'll be amazed how much faster OS X when you move it to a folder several dozen icons on the desktop.

• When your MacBook Pro will begin to slow down, open the Activity Monitor, located under applications in the Utilities folder. Use the Activity Monitor to determine if an app worth keeping around. Click the "CPU" and "Memory" buttons and watching the apps and processes. Click on the "% CPU" or "Memory" column header to display the biggest resource hogs top. A chart below which is used in real time, so if you see a sudden spike, look at the app jump to the top of the list.

Upgrading your system

• Updating OS X is a good way to accelerate a highlight Mac. OS X Mavericks is a property of the compressed memory that reduces the amount of memory used in non-running applications more RAM to make available to the apps you use. The more space, the internal drive, the faster performs a Mac. With SSDs, which are now standard on MacBook Pros, this is not as big a problem. According to tests done by Macworld, no speed may be a problem until an SSD on a MacBook Pro 97 percent capacity approaches. SDDS also read and write data faster than traditional hard drives, so this would have to consider upgrading your MacBook Pro.
