If you experience any symptoms of pregnancy such as missed period, vomiting, nausea and others, HPT (Home Pregnancy Test) is the best way to check the pregnancy. Most of the women don’t use home pregnancy kit due to lack of knowledge about the pregnancy test. Thus, having proper knowledge about how to take home pregnancy test will be useful for women. It is very easy and provides results promptly that whether woman is pregnant or not. Once the HPT has been commenced by the women, they can go for the blood test or laboratory test for getting more accurate result regarding pregnancy. Usually, these both tests detect the level of HCG.

Steps for doing home pregnancy test:

Usually, perform this test early in the morning for better result, though it is not mandatory. These steps surely help women to understand how to take home pregnancy test.
1. Initially, buy the home pregnancy test kit from the market
2. Since these kits are placed and stored into cool places such as refrigerator so let the kit get adapted with room temperature before using.
3. Now, collect urine in dry glass. Make sure that glass or other container must be neat and clean.
4. Now, put some drops of urine in the test section using dropper given in the HPT kit. Avoid spilling the urine in the reading strip.
5. Now, you just have to wait for 5-10 minutes to get the result. You can read out the manual instructions given with the kit for more accurate performing the home pregnancy test.

Useful Tips:
1. Wash your hands properly before touching the kit
2. Make sure that kit has been purchased by the genuine drug store or shop
3. Properly handle the kit while dropping the urine in the test cell.
4. Read the results carefully
5. Sometimes first time the result may be negative due to low level of HCG so try to use it one more time after 72 hours with new kit.

How to interpret the result:
1. There are two particular regions available in kit: C and T, where C refers to the control and comparison band and T refers to test sample.
2. If there is only single purple/pink band appears in the C region then test is negative
3. If there is two purple/pink bands appears in the C region, then pregnancy test is positive
4. If there is no band showing in kit then try to perform this test one more time after 72 hours.
