Not only does this give you the health benefits of a rigorous hike and fresh air, but carrying a camera will encourage you to take the time to take notice of the natural beauty you pass, as well. This is beneficial both for your mental and physical health. Having a camera also can act as great motivation to climb, crawl, or even leap across stones to get the best shots. If you’ve ever seen a professional nature photographer, you know that they will end up in the craziest positions to get the best picture. While engaged in taking beautiful pictures and enjoying nature, you won’t even notice the workout you’re getting until long after it’s over.

Play Games

If you have friends that are trying to increase their workout regimen as well, then this can present an excellent opportunity for casual sport playing. Soccer, basketball, tennis, baseball, and other sports are incredibly fun with friends and also are great for working out the whole body in a natural way. You can keep things fresh by rotating through activities, playing capture the flag one day and ultimate Frisbee the next. Of course, this likely won’t be an every-day activity, but just one or two hours once or twice a week with friends can do great things for your overall physical and mental health. Doing this can also increase the overall intensity of your workout, as people tend to push themselves harder during the rush of competition than they otherwise would when alone.rnWhen your mind is occupied during exercise, it no longer seems like a chore to work out. You can focus on the music to help push you to exercise, or you can engage in exercise that challenges you to try new approaches to working your muscles.
