Gone are the days when you can count the number of online consultants using your ten fingers. Today, as more and more people are sinking their teeth into this endeavor, the competition is getting stiffer and stiffer every minute. This makes it very hard for consultants like you to close decent sales. However, I am happy to tell you that there are things that you can do to attract more people do to business with you. These are the following. 1. Set your consulting services apart from the rest. Don’t commit the mistake of copying other consultants’ services and techniques. To give your prospects a reason to do business with you, I suggest that you offer something different. Research those consulting services that are closely relevant to your offerings and identify their weaknesses. Then, offer something that they do not offer. These could be value-added products and services, additional consulting sessions, tools and resources, etc. 2. Strengthen your online presence. Seeing your name, your website, and your consulting services everywhere can make a huge difference. Be everywhere. Use PPC ads that will show up on relevant search page results. Post your banner ads and paid links on websites that are frequented by your potential clients. Invade forums, blogs, and other social media networks. Mingle with your prospects and talk about your consulting services each time you have an opportunity. 3. Offer free sessions. Give your prospects an assurance that you have the capability to help them out. Let them experience your consulting services for free by simply giving them free sessions. Ensure that you put your best foot forward. Remember, your goal here is to impress these people. Offer as much in-depth information as possible. Practice active listening all the time and ensure that you offer only the best solutions to their problems. If they’re impressed with your sample sessions, you can be assured that they’ll sign up to the real thing ASAP. rn4. Communicate with your prospects on a regular basis. With so many people who are trying to win the business of your potential clients, you need to make sure that these people will not forget about you. You can make this happen by simply sending them newsletters on a weekly basis and by mingling with them on relevant forums and blogs as often as you can. It will also help if you invite them to your free teleseminars. Give these people a reason to trust you each time you communicate with them. Give them proofs that you have what it takes to help them out. Don’t forget to mention your consulting services and communicate their benefits and selling points. This is to make them look more enticing to the eyes of your prospective buyers.
