Let your office make you feel healthier. Your office is the place where you sit and work for about forty hours a week, if you’re a full time worker. Some are in their offices longer, others shorter, but still, most of us have toe work in order to make money. What most people don’t realize is that their office might cause them to become ill. While it might seem as though the office is a place where you are safe, this is not necessarily the case. By learning about the potential dangers of your office, you can begin to take steps to prevent your health from being impacted by your office.

The Stale Air Is Not Good For Your Health

One of the main things which can impact your health is the air quality in your office. If your office is older, you might be subject to black mold as well as toxins like asbestos. While offices are supposed to remove these harmful situations, this does not always happen. Most of the time, these problems come to light when workers begin to complain about feeling sick all the time. In order to ensure your office space is as healthy as possible, add a few living plants to your desk and office. These plants will help to naturally detoxify the area by pulling in the chemicals and other problems in the air. While they can’t remove every bad particle, they can vastly improve the air quality.

Bad Posture Problems On The Back Of Your Health

Sit correctly when working. When you sit at a desk for many hours a day, you might be setting yourself up for troubles with your back, your wrists, and your neck. You need to learn to sit in a comfortable and healthy manner so as to avoid body troubles. If your body is out of line, not only can you feel pain, but you might also have more headaches and you might become prone to a condition called carpal tunnel disorder. This condition causes your wrists to tighten up, which can then only be released by a surgery. To sit correctly:

- choose a chair which allows you to place both feet on the ground

- sit with your back against the back of the chair

- ensure your wrists are resting on the desk as you type.

Possible Printer Toxins As You Inhale

Do not inhale harmful particles from working laser printer. Some research is also showing the ink particles from laser jet printers can fly into the air and cause lung troubles. To ensure you aren’t putting yourself at risk, try to sit as far away from the printer as possible or open a window near it to dissipate the particles. You might also want to use a fan near your desk to keep the air quality fresh and free of anything which might increase your odds of illness.

Monitor Your Daily Stress While Working
