Your sacred self. Your authentic self. Your supreme self. Your divine self. A lot of terms are used for it, but the point is that there is much more to us as people than our natural selves.
As humans, it’s only natural to rely on what we know with our five senses—taste, touch, site, smell and hearing. But these only make up a small fraction of the essence of our true greatness. Maybe that’s why scientists have said for centuries that we as people, even the brightest of us, only use a small fraction of our brain and, therefore, our ability. Humanly, that’s all we’re capable of. But spiritually, we’re capable of so much more.
When we operate from our spiritual power as the divine creations that we truly are, we are capable of the most astounding feats. There is no limit to what we can do because there’s no limit to what God can do. When we allow ourselves to be the supreme beings that we were created to be, we are much stronger and more successful because we recognize the true source of our strength. We know it comes from God—the one who is capable of all things—and not from ourselves, because in and of ourselves, we are capable of nothing.
The problem for us comes when we start believing in the wrong self—our natural self instead of our divine self. When we believe in our natural self, we are limited at best. We know how inadequate we are but try to convince people to the contrary, including ourselves. Even our best efforts to be great are small compared to what we truly are capable of.
As our divine selves, however, we don’t try to be great. Instead, we allow ourselves to be great. We get out of our own way and into God’s way. We are not afraid of being found out, but instead hope that others see the truth in us. There is no limit to what we can achieve because we know that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Each of us makes a choice everyday to live as our natural or divine self. We can see it in our actions and our inactions. We can see it in the sequences and consequences of our lives.
If you want to live a divine life, choose to live your divine self and watch your greatness take control.
Lovingly,
Cynthia

If the world is an illusion meant to be transcended, why does it exist at all?
