It's probably not your fault if you are having trouble losing weight and getting ripped abs. If you're like the rest of us, you're constantly bombarded with all the wrong teaching on how to get washboard abs. The diet companies and media want us to think that we must spend hours on a cardio machine every week to get the body we're after. There are a lot of lies and misleading information out there, so lets hear the truth! It's time to say goodbye to all those crazy abdominal exerciser machines and the so-called magic weight loss pills. You need to know the real way to shed pounds fast so you can get washboard abs. Losing ten pounds or one hundred pounds is all done the same way, through techniques that actually work. First, you need to stop doing a couple things that you may be doing wrong. Do you think jogging on a treadmill every day is getting you closer to your goals? If this is what you're doing, cancel your very next workout! All that jogging is just wasting your time and not getting you closer to getting washboard abs. If you find yourself at the gym or at home doing hundreds of crunches every night, the very next thing you should do is stop! Your ab muscles are small and only need to be worked for five or ten minutes. 30 minutes of ab exercises is just a waste of time. Plus, it may lead to overtraining which will make it much harder to get washboard abs. Now let's focus on what you should be doing...starting today! Instead of jogging for an hour around a track, wander to the section of the gym that has free weights. Start lifting heavy weights, doing compound movements like rows, bench presses, and squats. When you work the big muscles in your body like this it will raise your metabolism instead of lowering it. Plus it will burn lots of calories. When your body fat percentage gets lower, you will start to be able to see your abdominals. You will have washboard abs when you keep at it and get to about 8-10% body fat (for guys). Once you get your workout down, you should turn your attention to your diet. It's so easy to eat all the wrong foods in our world that you have to get really proactive if you want to get anywhere near having washboard abs. Start with all the simple carbohydrates in your diet. Cut as much out as you can. This means white bread, sugar, pastries, pasta. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean you can never eat this stuff again, but you must stop eating it all the time. Start eating more naturally occuring foods like fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats. Eating healthy doesn't have to be a nightmare. Once you cut out a lot of the junk, you'll notice that the more natural foods will taste much better too. If you've been listening to the mainstream media long enough, you may have to relea a lot of what you thought you knew about losing weight and getting washboard abs. The good news is that there is plenty of good teaching out there, you just have to look for it! So keep learning and taking action and you'll be well on your way to getting washboard abs.
