A lot of people are trying to lose weight. They might even succeed, but most often they gain the weight back soon after the diet is over. This is because there is still some confusion about the whole weight losing process. Here you can find answers to some of the most common questions about how to lose weight and get long lasting results. It is not as complicated as you think! Why am I getting fatter? If you are gaining weight, you are consuming more than you need. Keeping a food diary for a week or two can tell you a lot about your eating habits. It is not only about your total calorie consumption since the human body does not treat all the nutrients the same way. Gaining weight is usually due to too much sugar in its different forms, as sugar or carbohydrates. What is the quickest way to lose weight? Most people try to lose weight quick with fast diets like the flight attendant diet. These diets are based on very low calorie intake, and whereas you are guaranteed to lose up to 10 lbs during the diet, the weight loss is rarely permanent. Once the diet is over, the dieter goes back to their normal eating habits and continues gaining weight. Diets with very low calories can be difficult to go through due to all the cravings and the constant hunger. The fast diets can be used if you really need to lose a bit of weight right away for example for fitting into a dress, but if you want to keep your new lean figure, you have to find another solution to the weight losing problem. What is a good way to lose weight and get permanent results? If you want to get long lasting results, you need to make some permanent changes to your eating habits. Since we are all different, there are many possible ways to go about it and it makes sense to take a moment to think about which way suits you the best. It is possible that it is enough to leave just one product off your diet and start losing weight that way. You can try to limit your calorie intake but most people find it too limiting. Another option is to reduce the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, which will change your metabolism so that your body will start using fats as the fuel. You do not have to count calories if you follow a low carbohydrate food regime. What else is needed than the right diet plan? Behavior changes are always tough in the beginning. That’s why you need to be motivated and positive about your ability to make the change happen. Believe in yourself and get support from the people around you. Look into the mirror every morning and tell yourself that you are able to lose weight since you are able to stick to your own decision to change your eating habits. Follow your progress and remember to praise yourself when reaching your goals.
