Almond combined with pears gives homemade pancakes subtle and amazing taste.rnThanks to this recipe, you will make eating homemade pancakes a celebration. Because this tasty pancakes are usually served only in the best restaurants. Pear and almond pancakes are also easy and fast to make and if you have picky eaters, you can be almost sure that they will love these homemade pancakes.rnI really enjoy making them during cold, winter evenings and then eating them, drinking hot tea and watching my favorite TV shows. So if you are dreaming about the same, there is no more time to wait! Go and buy ingredients you will need to make them and feed your family with the best homemade pancakes ever. Here is the recipe I use: Pancake Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 extra large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Dash cloves
  • Sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 ripe pear, peeled and sliced thin
  • Pear liqueur
How to make pear almond pancakes:
  1. First, put the pear slices in a bowl and soak them in a pear liqueur.
  2. Take a medium bowl and combine flour, cinnamon, sugar, baking soda, allspice, salt, dash cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl combine together eggs, buttermilk and sour cream. Add dry ingredients to the egg mixture and stir until smooth. Don’t over mix the batter. It should have some lumps remaining. Add pears and almonds to the batter.
  4. Heat a frying pan or a griddle on a medium high heat. Grease the frying pan with some butter or oil.
  5. Pour approximately ¼ cup of the batter onto the frying pan.
  6. Cook pancakes on a one side for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Flip the pancake to the other side and again cook until golden brown.
  7. Serve pancakes warm and sprinkled with confectioner’s sugar or maple syrup.
