A typical problem for friends of mine is their assumption that you have to lose 50 pounds and/or be financially secure prior to being able to attract long-standing love. This is of course a myth. This is just low self-esteem blocking you from being truly whole. It is wonderful to want to look your best, feel your best, have high self-esteem and be ok about your money situation. It feels really wonderful to feel secure, confident, and beautiful. There are a MASSIVE number of industries that prey on peoples' low sense of self-image. At some time or another, we have all fallen prey to buying that hot new exercise machine that promises to make it simple for us to tone up, slim down and own a beautiful body. Supplements, special diets or dieting plans, hair products, skin, teeth, libido, all of it! And these things are directly centered around one simple idea – that we're not inherently OK the way we come. We are so accustomed to this type of thought pattern that we never even question it. It's not surprising that we do this. After all, when we are born, on the first day of our life, we are loved and perfect – at least most of the time. Then soon we are being compared to how the previous sibling did things, at what time they developed this ability, sitting, crawling, learning the language, and so on. Our hair, our bodies and how they are the same or dissimilar to the other one or that. “Oh, she appears just like Aunt Mary when she was that age.” You understand the drill. Start by examining your recurring thoughts and emotions about your body. Many people don't even realize that they have persisting energy or feelings from these previous experiences. Negativity, whether strong or mild, feels bad and most of us just learn to subjugate it, deal with it, or push it farther into the underbelly of your mind. These intense emotional experiences usually continue to be buried. We have all used the term "emotional baggage." We go through life with old unresolved, painful, intense feelings continuing to be held somewhere inside of us. These emotions transmit to the Universe to mirror back more of the same. You can free yourself by improving your self-esteem. Start to transform your relationship with your body by creating a list of what you appreciate about you. What really harmonizes with your body? What can you appreciate about your appearance? Think of 10 affirmations every day that you truly love about your body. Do you like your eyes? Are you thankful for working fingers? Make lists of the positive things about you and view your energy and vibrational point of attraction begin to soar. You CAN improve your self-esteem and attract love.
