Imagine, at the exact moment of birth, being handed a piece of paper. 'This information is for you and you alone,' whispers a messenger sent by the Universe, 'it is your reliable guide -- and secret -- to carry through life.' Before being welcomed into the outside world, you look down at this document - a map-like illustration full of diagrams, shapes, colors, lines and numbers. Your soul, about to embark on its journey, is curious. The messenger smiles: 'This is your design for life -- all you need to know about yourself for the years ahead is here.' If only life were as simple as being handed all the answers at birth! Yet this imagined scene explains the essence of Human Design -- a newrnsystem that breaks down and details the DNA of your true nature. This system is, in my mind, the successor to astrology because it works in a similar way -- making a calculation based on birth data -- and yet it takes self-knowledge to the next level of understanding. It produces a 'life chart' -- a literal map of your inner-being -- but instead of creating a one-size-fits-all star sign, it pin-points your precise make-up;rnthe secret ingredients of your own individuality. Whereas a Pisces is a Pisces and a Libran is a Libran, your Human Designrncreates a personality blueprint as unique as a fingerprint. It is not primarily predictive; instead, it shows you how to be the author of your own destiny. It is an inward guide that unravels the human conundrum of who we are; a compass that both re-unites and realigns us with our truest self. This information is the buried treasure that lies deep within each of us, and it finally helps answer those age-old questions: 'Who am I?' and 'Who is the REAL me?' As one woman said after discovering her Human Design, "I feel I can now exhale after holding my breath for so long, trying to be someone else to keep my husband happy!” I have been working with and mastering Human Design since 1993, and now wish to share its transformative power and life-changing insights with the wider world. It is a system ripe for a new age - the Aquarian Age - when individuals, and especially women, are reinvigorated, empowered and discovering their unique groove in life. First discovered in 1987, Human Design fuses the four ancient wisdoms of astrology, I-Ching, the Kabbalah and the chakra system to become an entity on its own. Working from your time, date and place of birth, it reveals gems such as how to successfully direct your life, how you make winning decisions, and how to ensure fulfillment in life and relationships. In a word, it reveals your true 'potential'. rnIt is the first system of its kind to reveal unconscious elements of our personalities -- that hidden side of your personality that influences so much of your behaviors. Our individual Human Design is our true nature -- our natural way of being -- before our parents, siblings, teachers, peers and lovers have conditioned, influenced, shaped or, perhaps, manipulated who we are. From birth, and through the years of childhood, adulthood and love, the people around us tend to impact our behaviors and so we cut our cloth accordingly to be 'fit in', be liked or accepted; to live up to expectations or avoid judgment. Consequently, we become someone not true to ourselves and can live out of alignment with our intended design. I find that so many people are not being true to themselves because there is a common tendency to try and be all things to all people. But Human Design aims to re-sync you with your truest nature and restore balance. If thousands of one-on-one Human Design readings have taught me one fact, it is this: the hyper-activity, pressures and difficulties of modern-day life have resulted in many people becoming lost or disillusioned or, worse, feeling pain and emptiness, wondering who they are and who and what is best for them. But once you re-discover your true nature, and decide to honor it, the more authentic and fulfilled you will feel. It is as if 'the search' ends and you start making better decisions and meeting your kind of people. Self-knowledge becomes self-power. Human Design is not 'self-help'. It is a ‘self-reminder' -- reminding you of the essence of your individuality. Your worth. Your value. Your rightful place in this world. It encourages each of us to love who we are and discard the language of 'should be' and accept what we 'could be' -- who we were born to be. Ask yourself this question: Are you seen, recognized and valued for who you truly are? At work, with friends and in relationships? Then look at the people closest to you -- husband, wife, children, best-friend: would you like to better understand them and know what makes them tick or act the way they do? For the moment we better understand and accept one another's differences, the more authentic we become. The more authentic we are, the better the chances for social harmony and compassion. When people recognize their Human Design, they often say it is like looking in the Looking-glass for the person they have always wanted to find. What becomes increasingly obvious is that we are co-creators in our lives. If we do not know who we are, what we want, or what is good for us, then we cannot draw those features into our lives. Now, through this newly acquired knowledge, you can learn to master your own co-creation, leading you from self-knowledge to self-acceptance to self-love. rnBased on the book Human Design: Discover the Person You Were Born to Be © 2010 by Chetan Parkyn. According to the spiritual science of Akram Vignan, the meaning of ‘selfless’ is to live one’s life for the sole purpose of serving others, by whatever means one can and according to one’s skill set and ability; and to do so without expecting anything whatsoever in return. Param Pujya Dadashri, the founder of Akram Vignan, makes us understand how every living being’s life should be, through an illustration of the tree: “Do any of the fruit trees eat their own frui
