Hypnosis is an effective and safe choice of treatment to quickly achieve the desired results; the effect is permanent if it is done professionally, by a reliable, qualified and experienced hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy is a kind of therapy that has been used for a long time to treat a variety of issues: the most common ones are fear of flying and other phobias (such as dental phobia or needle phobia), panic assaults, performance or exam anxiety, insomnia, smoking and being overweight. In addition to these well-known makes use of, hypnotherapy is also helpful in other areas: it can help relationship and sexual issues, and issues related to pregnancy or disease. Kids can also benefit from being treated by a professional hypnotherapist.

Usually, a hypnotherapy session consists of a consultation, hypnosis itself and then reinforcement. In the coursework of the consultation, the hypnotherapist discusses the issue for which the patient would like to undergo hypnosis, in order to understand the patient's underlying feelings and beliefs. Then, the hypnotherapist induces a state of hypnosis by asking the patient to relax. This is achieved through speaking to the patient in a soothing voice and inspiring them to focus on a fixed point. When the patient has reached a state of deep relaxation, the hypnotherapist can access their unconscious and talk to them in a way that changes the beliefs at the root of the issue. The patient under hypnosis concentrates on the hypnotherapist's voice; their muscles are relaxed and they usually experience a general state of well being. The state of hypnosis lasts about 30 minutes. After the patient comes round, the hypnotherapist often offers a CD or tape of the session which can be used at home for reinforcement; this is believed to be a effective process by lots of patients. Lots of people achieve the desired result after only one session, whereas for others some extra sessions may be needed.

How does hypnotherapy work? Hypnotherapy induces a state of deep relaxation which leads to an altered state of consciousness: specifically, a pre-state of consciousness, similar to the feeling we experience just before falling asleep. This state of extreme relaxation - hypnosis - makes it possible for the hypnotherapist to access the unconscious mind, where deeply rooted behaviours and feelings are located. So, the unconscious mind is where, in the coursework of hypnosis, new behaviours and beliefs can be introduced to replace negative ones. This is possible because in a state of hypnosis, the conscious mind temporarily recedes and loses the control that it normally exerts over us, so the issue - i.e. the negative beliefs that cause, for example, fear of flying, smoking or overeating - can be addressed without interference from the conscious mind and its defenses. So, the hypnotherapist can lead the patient's unconscious mind to focus on the issue at issue (fear of flying, smoking, overeating, etc.) in order to introduce new beliefs and instil new habits that will guide the conscious mind and conscious behaviours in lieu of the elderly ones.

So, hypnotherapy is a effective and safe treatment for a variety of conditions that may seriously affect an individual's quality of life, the most common of which are fear of flying, phobias and panic assaults, smoking and overeating. Hypnotherapy achieves the desired results quickly compared to other types of therapies, but it's to be administered by a professional, qualified and experienced hypnotherapist in order to achieve effective results that will improve the patient's life significantly.

Hypnotherapy is an effective and perfectly safe treatment if administered by a professional, qualified hypnotherapist. Professional hypnotherapists do not induce patients to reveal any secrets in the coursework of a session - most sessions actually do not need patients to say anything under hypnosis, they just need to listen to the therapist. Also, professional hypnotherapists do not hypnotise individuals with health issues, such as epilepsy or schizophrenia. A nice hypnotherapist is always obtainable to speak to patients about the session and welcomes any ideas that patients may must improve sessions, and offers follow-up support when needed.
