I Think, Therefore I Am; I Feel, Therefore I'm Human

Being is not only thinking. For us, much of our existence is experienced though our feelings. Odd then, that so much of what we talk about, read about and see going on in the world is dealt with through the realm of thinking and logic. What a huge piece of the human condition we miss when we disregard the emotional self.
If we were to see, for example, that it is only partly belief and information (or lack of it) that causes people to be violent towards others, and that mostly it is about the inner emotional turmoil, then we may have a better chance of dealing with it. If we recognized that many of the actions we take are impelled only partly by our understanding of the situation and mainly by our, usually hidden, emotional being, then we might see how things do or don’t work for us.
Disregarding our emotional self, or suppressing or even repressing it leads to ignoring a vital part of our humanness, with consequences that are almost always negative.
So let’s be our full selves, enjoying and expressing our feelings and becoming ever more aware that when we express that part of ourselves, we are fully energized and able to offer that energy to others who will inevitably offer it back.
In peace
