IBPS and UPSC

Getting a government job is always a thing to be proud of. As well all know, getting a government job is very difficult task due to its tough question papers and the large strength of candidates that apply for a single post. However, the ones who manage to earn a job in the government sector lives a life of stature and luxury. This is due to the exciting packages offered by government jobs and their handsome pension plans. Similarly, two sectors which are the common buzzword amongst the youth of India are, banking sector and the civil services. These two sectors are highly sought after due to their vast variety of job options. Some jobs are more popular than the other, like IAS is a high profile popular job option and in the banking sector; candidates in high numbers apply for the post of Bank PO and Bank Clerks. So the recruitments for these sectors are mainly done by IBPS and UPSC. They make sure that the most capable candidate is selected by clearing a challenging question paper which consists largely of current affair questions. The inclusion of current affairs in these career options makes them even more competitive. They are the highest sought after career choices of India, and they believe in high quality. While UPSC recruits for IAS jobs, IBPS recruits for bank jobs like bank po and bank clerk. Both these organizations conduct highly challenging exams where thousands of candidates who apply are refined and reduced to a few. These selected candidates are further reduced during the interview round that follows. While IBPS conducts a single exam for bank po and clerical recruitments, UPSC conducts two exams; IAS mains and IAS prelims for their recruitment. However, the recruitment is based on the current affair knowledge of the candidate. Candidates lacking in this knowledge have the least possibility of clearing the exams. rnThis year, both the organizations, IBPS and UPSC have made changes in their works. While UPSC has made a replaced in the syllabus, IBPS has introduced a new strategy for recruitment. CSAT has been replaced by the optional subjects in IAS prelims and CWE has been adopted as a large scale recruitment programme by IBPS in 2011. IBPS and UPSC both have differences but their main aim is to select the best out of the thousands of candidates who appear for the exams. Their main criterion for selection is the knowledge of current affairs, which makes the question paper even more challenging.
