Institute of Banking Personnel is one of the best recruiters of banking sector. It has served the needs of the customers since many years and continues to do so. It has grown tremendously and today has its offices spread all over the country. This year, it has added a new achievement to its efforts, the CWE. It stands for common written exam which would be conducted in 2011. It is a common exam to be conducted for recruitment of bank po posts and other clerical posts. It aims at solving the usual problems faced during recruitments which lead to low quality recruitment. rnThe banking sector has grown majorly in the recent few years. It has a lot of jobs to offer to the youth of today. These jobs provide a good income, a healthy and secure job, additional perks etc. These factors make the banking sector a preferable career option of today's time. Another factor that adds to its popularity is that the banking sector offers jobs to students from all academic backgrounds. Irrespective of the stream you are in (science, humanities, commerce), you can apply for the jobs offered by the banks. This increases the strength of candidates applying for bank jobs in comparison to other jobs. Candidates in strength of lakhs apply for a single post offered by a bank, and only a few limited seats are available. This makes the process of recruitment very tough for the recruiters. They have to scrutinize each selected candidate very deeply and further refine them for the interview session. This is a time consuming process and often leads to inaccurate results. Also, since the vacancy needs to be filled immediately, they have to be fast with their recruitment often leading to low quality recruitment. rnCWE, therefore is an escape to all the problems faced during recruitment. It will be a common exam for all the candidates aspiring for the post. Due to its large scale recruitment facility, it will entertainment a larger strength of people, thereby giving all equal opportunity. Also, it will be very helpful during a vacancy in any of the 19 public sector banks involved. During a vacancy, the banks only have to call the candidates for an interview based on their score in the exam, thereby saving time and money.rnThus, CWE is a viable option to conduct recruitments. This year, 2011 it only aims to recruit candidates for Bank PO posts and others posts of clerks; as these two posts are highest in demand and encounter maximum number of candidates. Recruitments for other posts are also studied deeply and depending on the needs, necessary changes can be made in the future.
