FAQ is the Short form of “Frequently Asked Questions.” FAQ page is a dedicated internal page of an e-commerce store where user’s frequently asked questions with answers have been posted. This page helps merchant to improve conversion rate and reduce customers’ requests. The constant improvement in products and services increase conversion rate and customers’ satisfaction is ensured. The more satisfied customers you have more will be your brand image and more will be the referral customers. Factors To Be Considered While Creating FAQ Page: There are some recommendations for creating a FAQ page.rnBreak down FAQ page in Question and Answer format. Do inside research and find out the most frequently asked questions. List those questions in FAQ page and then add logical and informative answers to those questions. If you are new to this industry then do outside research. Find the competitors and review their FAQ page. You’ll come to know what sort of questions customers are asking. Next question arises about the number of question to be included. It is always recommended to keep balance neither there should be too many question nor should be little. Too many question leads to confusion and little will force your customers to go somewhere else where he can find the information he is looking for before he buy’s product. When answering the FAQ question don’t use marketing language. Don’t force customers in FAQ answers to buy your product instead give them information related to product its use and it should be in formal language. It is always better to add FAQ page link in the footer of your website. However if you have enough space then there is nothing wrong in adding FAQ page in main menu or header.rnThere is a common practice of adding FAQs in contact page or adding hyperlink to FAQ page. This is the page at where user is about to post a query. Adding FAQs in contact page will may give information which he is about to ask. Presentation Of FAQ Page Most of PrestaShop Templates contain the FAQ page as well. Some PrestaShop templates and themes have great FAQ page designs and in some templates you may have to edit and think out of the box to make you FAQ page presentation better. Here are three tips for presentation of FAQ page. One idea that I have stated earlier is to break down page in Q&A format. Customer can scroll down and find the information he is looking for. If questions have detailed answer then it’s better not to put all information in the same page. The users will have to scroll a long page and that will lead to a bad user experience. Suggestion is to put questions in hypertext form. The customer will click the question and will taken to a new page where the detailed answer has been written. For SEO purpose it’s great to have a dedicated page for each question. Another Idea is to write questions in list form at the top of the page and add answer after that. Hyperlink those questions and when user will click on the question the page will be scrolled down automatically and he will be taken to the answer that has been located below on the same page. Concluding Remarks: No matter how you design your FAQ page but never underestimate its importance. It only take one time effort of creating that page and it surely reduce future customers request and you time will be saved.
