Ramadan is a month of obligatory fasting for Muslims. From all across the globe, Muslims begin the month of Ramadan with fasting and marking its end by the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr. While some also travel for the holy rituals in Haramain through their cheap Ramadan umrah packages. Iftar and Suhoor are among the many blessings of Ramadan. These are the two meals with which a person breaks and intends fasting respectively. While Iftar is filled with the delicious eatables of infinite kinds, Suhoor is usually preferred with food that is energy-rich and packed with fibre and protein contents. The importance of both of these meals cannot be neglected; neither health-wise nor religiously. Here’s Why; Suhoor. 1. The Intention of Fasting. In Islam, the reward for a deed performed depends on the type of Niyyah intended for it. The same is the case with fasting; it’s only valid when a person makes an intention for it. Therefore, it is a sunnah to wake-up mid-night, have Suhoor meal, make intention and then observe fast. Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said that; (description) Whoever does not intend for fasting before Fajar Salah, there is no fast for him. 2. A blessed meal. Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) highlighting the significance of Suhoor said that; (description) Have Suhoor, for there is a blessing in it. 3. Delaying it is a Sunnah. While eating Suhoor meal is a sunnah, delaying it close to Fajar time is a Sunnah as well. Therefore, one must delay eating Suhoor as much as he can (close to Fajar time). However, one cannot eat or drink anything once the Adhan for Fajar is heard. 4. Health benefits. • Minimizes hunger and thirst. • Gives sufficient energy to withstand the day without eating and drinking anything. • It helps maintain Metabolism. Iftar. 1. Hasting is a Sunnah. Hasting for breaking the fast after the Maghrib adhan is heard is a sunnah. Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said that; (description) People (fasting) will continue to be in good condition as long as they hasten to break the fast. 2. Acceptance of Supplication. Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) said that; (description) When a person fasting, breaks his fast, his supplication is not turned back by Allah Almighty. 3. A form of Eid. It remains mentioned in a hadith; (description) there are 2 pleasures for the fasting person; one at the time of breaking his fast (iftar), and the other at the time when he will meet Allah Almighty. 4. Health benefits. • Restores energy in the body. • Assists in digesting the food properly. • Regulates blood sugar levels. • Gives the body, proper nourishment. So, one should not skip Iftar or Suhoor meal. Even if you are offering the holy rituals of minor pilgrimage through Cheap Family Umrah Packages, there is an extensive arrangement for Iftar and Suhoor in Haramain.
