The average American house owner spends almost 40 hours a year on lawn care. Isn't there a better way to use your time, energy and dollars? Artificial turf is the best and perfect alternative to the traditional lawns. It looks and feels just like real grass, but does not require fertilizer, mowing or watering. It’s perfect for families and pet owners too, because artificial turf does not absorb animal waste or other external elements, keeping your lawn looking perfect all the time.
Artificial turf is a stretch of land covered by artificial grass, especially for sporting purposes. Artificial turf is mostly visible in places like race courses, indoor stadiums, parks and golf courses. Imagine a surface that stays green all year, doesn’t need to be watered, mowed, or even fertilized. Now, imagine just what that can do for your house. While your neighbors are spending their weekends scuffling with the lawnmower, you can step out into your backyard with the kids and enjoy some summer fun while putting your way to a better golf score.
The most common types of artificial turf are:

  • Astroturf
  • Superturf
  • Fieldturf
  • Among these, Fieldturf is the most popular and is used extensively in athletic fields and stadiums. Astroturf is the oldest and most recognized name in the industry, but newer and more friendly types of artificial turf have been introduced in recent years.
The primary difference between the 3 different types of turf is the infill material and depth of the infill. Infill is often composed of sand or cream rubber that is used to soften the surface of the turf. The deeper the infill, the harder the turf will feel to players on the field.
Instead of spending all day Saturday on your lawn, take the boat out, spend an extra hour in bed, play with the kids or go on that hiking trip you’ve been planning. Choose artificial turf.
