Important Contributions of the Levant Foundation

The organization of The Levant Foundation is led by its founder named Jamal Daniel, who is an advocate of the goals and aspirations of the organization in unifying three major religions such as Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Despite of the position that he is holding at Crest Investment Company where he is the President and CEO stationed in Houston, Texas, he still values the need of forming a solid association that will diminish separation and division among all sects. He had so many experiences when he attended in a Jesuit School when he was in high school in Lebanon where his mind had been exposed to this situation before moving to Geneva. The Levant Foundation has accomplished the following goals and implemented various programs while strengthening and solidifying its aim: • It has assisted the launching of FIIRD that stands for Foundation for Interreligious Intercultural Research and Dialogue in 1999, wherein its members and board of trustees are high-profile people that belongs to political arena, royal blood, and religious leaders. • It pursued human and scholarship goals to foster religious unification while eradicating the common divisions that exist among denominations in the society. • It aims to inspired different principles and ideals because of the standard canonical books that serve as their guide in the pathway that their members trudge. • It published two books in different years one was made in 2006 and the other was done in 2009 The Levant Foundation has been contributing and providing several programs in achieving intellectual enrichment, fathoming multi-cultured comprehension, and continuous research relevant to the important matters especially in sponsoring educational and academic programs for the benefit of strengthening relationships among all the students who belong in different sects. The Levant Foundation has been responsible through the initiative of its owner, Mr. Daniel where in Levantine Entertainment has been in full force for company’s production, and financing its motion picture. Through films, the focus of creating an accountable society by showcasing international flare and cross-cultural sensibility that could be used in reaching the other world, especially in removing barriers because of religious affiliations. The major audiences that it targets are part of the Western and Oriental regions. The first movie that was shot and shown was Amreeka, which was recognized at Sundance Film Festivals and Cannes. Despite of the fact that the owner himself is not as active and participative these days but he still remains the benefactor of its formation.
